Biography

Matt brings a wealth of both legal and “real world” experience to his practice. After graduating from law school in California in 2009, he returned home to Virginia and began his career handling a wide variety of matters in Suffolk and Richmond before focusing on bankruptcy and, ultimately, real estate law. With experience ranging from courtroom advocacy to real estate settlements, Matt now concentrates his practice on guiding clients through real estate transactions and advising on business formation and related matters. He is committed to providing practical, efficient counsel that helps individuals and businesses move forward with confidence.

In addition to his legal career, Matt has been active in Richmond’s cultural and community life, helping to launch Spacebomb Records and co-founding the Fall Line Festival, as well as working for local nonprofits. These experiences reflect his commitment to leadership, collaboration, and service both in and outside the practice of law. Outside of work, you can generally find Matt in his boat on the James River with his wife and two daughters.
