Mark relocated to Virginia from Michigan in 1979, finishing his legal training at the University of Richmond as a visiting student. He has been practicing law in the Richmond area since 1980, with a concentration in real estate and business law, and with clients located throughout the State of Virginia and beyond. His clients have included individuals purchasing their first home, investors acquiring and building a portfolio of single family and multifamily rental property, large and small condo conversions of multifamily and mixed use developments, investors involved in highly complicated commercial projects and industrial plant flips, and representation of clients buying and selling businesses.
A natural outgrowth of this practice has been his assistance to clients in creating and reviewing contracts associated with all levels of real estate transactions, helping those clients understand the ins and outs of contracts before an obligation is created. With experience in real estate finance, Mark has advised clients concerning financing documents, both in interpreting and creating them. He has also acted on behalf of lenders in commercial transactions, and providing foreclosure expertise and services as a trustee. Along with this experience comes the time-acquired ability to tap the vast resources available in the community to assist in resolving unique client problems.
